Lunch with Friends

Saturday I met up with some friends for lunch at Red Robbin. I thought we were meeting at 1pm so I went to my moms to kill time. Well, Brandy calls around 12:20 and asks if Carter & I are still coming!

Well, I didn’t want to be even more late than I already was, so I left Carter with my mom and rushed out the door! I didn’t take him with me because I would have had to gather all of his things and mine and it was just easier & faster to go with out him. Well, lunch was good & afterwards, Mandi, Brandy, & I went to the mall for a little while. I’m glad I decided to go to the mall because I actually got a few things for myself & on sale at that!

Around 3:30 we left the mall & I headed back to my moms to get Carter. We got home around 5 and had dinner, played, bath, & bed!

Carter ended up going to bed around 8:15pm & slept until 8:22am this morning…..ahhh it was soo nice :) I hope he sleeps like that again tonight!

Our week so far..

Not much really going on this week. I haven’t had much to post about, it’s been pretty quiet around here. I am glad that the week is half way over and our 3 day weekend is almost here :) Gotta love long weekends! I do, however, have some new things to blog about this week in the world of Carter’s ever-growing vocabulary!! Daddy taught Carter how to say “Hot mama” haha and “Chocolate Milk”! He says hot mama perfectly, but chocolate milk sounds more like “cholate milk”

Also this week, Carter’s been more grouchy than usual when he gets home from daycare. I don’t know if he’s teething again or if he’s just tired, but it’s got to be one of the two because he’s not sick. which reminds me….I’ve been debating whether or not to blog about this because I don’t want to jinx it ;) BUT… Carter hasn’t had an ear infection in over 2 months now! The tubes are working perfectly and it makes me so happy. I mean, this boy used to get an ear infection every month almost so this is a huge deal!

Sunday update...

Well, this is the second post in a row with no pictures & I'm a day late...sorry! I just wanted to update really quick about how Carter did Saturday night and yesterday. He did not get sick anymore, Thank God. I guess it was just overeating or eating too fast?! Still not sure, but at least it wasn't a stomach bug or anything. He ended up sleeping Saturday night from 8pm to 8am-12 hours straight!! I on the other hand, kept getting up to check on him because I was worried all night he was going to get up sick. I hate it when I do that! I need to realize that there are things that are going to happen that are beyond my control and stop stressing so much. Easier said than done I guess, lol, but I'm going to give it an honest effort in the future.

Anyway, yesterday Carter & I decided to go to Target and visit at my moms in the afternoon. He was such a good boy at the store and was saying 'Hi' to everyone!! Then we went to my parents and ended up staying all afternoon. Carter completley skipped his nap, so by the time we got home around 5:30 he was done. I fed him his dinner, gave him his bath and put him to bed by 7pm because I knew how exhausted he was. He didn't make a peep all night and woke up in a happy mood this morning :)

I will have a post with pictures later though, I hate posting with out them!

Belly ache?!

 

Tonight right after Carter was done eating his snack, he threw up! Not really sure why…he hasn’t thrown up since and that was at 7:15pm. He was drinking his chocolate milk pretty fast and almost finished the whole cup, but still I’m a little worried. I guess that’s what mom’s do best though.

He’s been fine all day. We went to BJ’s with Granny and Carter didn’t get a good nap in since we were out, but he did fall asleep on the ride home and slept for about an hour. Then he played, ate dinner, took his bath and played some more. It almost seemed like he just drank his milk too fast and then he had a huge burp…well when he burped, he threw up all the milk and some of his snack. But, like I said, he was fine afterwards and has been asleep for almost an hour now. weird!

I just hope he doesn’t have a stomach bug or anything, those are the worst! I keep going in his room to check on him and he’s sleeping fine right now. Hopefully he doesn’t get sick anymore. I’m going to go to bed and keep the monitor close to me just in case, but I’m praying that it was just overeating or something that caused it! Say a little prayer for him and I’ll update tomorrow about how our night went.

TGIF & a Carter’s daily “Tattler” from daycare

Its a funny name, but that’s what it’s called! “The Pre-Toddler Tattler” sheet that gets sent home with Carter everyday. It’s usually just a description of his daily activities, nothing too spectacular! But today it was just that, spectacular, at least I think so!

Besides the fact that he got this “Accident Report” ….what can I say?! Boys are rough! He’s just fine though, not even a scratch!

He also got some extra comments on his “Tattler” form!!

Now, I thought that was SO adorable & amazing! I just can’t believe how much more he is talking these days. I feel like I can actually have a conversation (well almost!) with him. I need to put more videos of him talking on here because it seems like anytime we go out in public, he shuts up like a clam!

Tonight we are just relaxing at home. Daddy is going hunting in the morning so he has to get up early. After that, we may go visit our friends Alan, Brandy, & Ryder :)

Weekday fun :)

It’s never boring around this house, that’s for sure! Even on a regular old Thursday afternoon, Carter finds a way to entertain us all :) He get’s into everything now-a-days and is a little ball of energy!! During the day he is non-stop playing, laughing, & learning with his friends at daycare. He takes a 2 hour nap everyday from around noon until 2pm. Then he’s back at it again, running, playing and getting into something.

By the time he gets home you would think he’d be worn out from his long day, but ohhh no! He plays until he’s good and worn out, which is usually around 6:30. Then, he takes his bath, eats a snack, and is in bed before 8pm most nights!

So, as you can see, we have a good time around here everyday of the week!

The little things…

Sometimes I sit back and just Thank God for all the little things in life that bring me happiness :)

Such as…seeing my little boy’s pile of dirty laundry sitting on the floor after his bath…

  

Seeing a third tooth brush in the holder in our bathroom… 

His bin of bath toys next to the tub… 

His towels hanging up next to mine… 

I walk past these things everyday, but I don’t take the time to stop and think about how important they are to me! It makes me realize that even though our bathroom, bedroom, living room, etc aren’t spotless anymore….I love every inch of the mess/clothes/diapers/toys that it has become : ) Us mom’s do our share of complaining & cleaning, trust me I do sometimes, I’m not gonna lie!!  But at the end of the day I love picking up toys that I’ve stepped on & drinks that I’ve nearly busted my butt on LOL because that means I’m a mom & that’s the best feeling in the world!

On another note, I got these pack of disk’s from Target the other day…

They look really handy & ‘Simple’ as they say on the box ;) I haven’t used them yet, but I plan on it this week. I have TONS of pictures on our computer that need to be saved on a disk just in case anything ever happened. I would die if I lost all these pictures, lol! So I’m glad I got it and it was only like $15. Just thought it was a good thing to share with all the mom bloggers out there. I know we all take so many pictures…these seem like a good place to store them!!

A little R&R…

 

Rest & Relaxation that is!!  && these boys know how to kick back :) Today we spent the whole day at home…did not leave once! It was so cold and windy today, too cold to do anything! We didn’t have anything to do anyway, which made for a perfect ‘chill’ day.  Carter & Mommy took a nap around 1 and slept until 3:15…..ahhh I love snuggling with him and taking naps :) its the best! Then we woke up and played, ate dinner, & watched Barney!

Carter fell asleep around 8pm & I am pretty tired myself! I think I’m going to watch some TV with my hubby and then go to bed! Tomorrow is Sunday & some friends might be coming to visit :) So it might be a busy day..

Happy New Year!!

We spent our New Years eve watching movies! Yup…that’s what CJ & I did! Carter went to stay at my parents house & party it up with them :) he stayed up playing until 10pm!!!

The reason he went to stay over there is because we had made plans to either go out that night with friends or have friends over! well, both of those plans fizzled out at the last minute… We were both a little disappointed, but what can ya do! That’s life!! By the time we realized we weren’t going to do anything, it was too late to go get Carter & that would have upset the kids too so we had to suck it up even though we missed him :( lol!

CJ & I watched “The ugly truth” very funny…we both really liked it! && we watched “Paranormal Activity” Very Scary!!!!! We were both jumping during this movie!! Anyway, here are some 2009 pictures of Carter before we left to take him to my mom’s on NYE!

My mom told me he was such a good boy over there and even slept in until 9am the next day! I guess that’s because he stayed up late playing :) All in all, I have to say it was a good New Years. Carter had a good time & CJ & I got to spend it together!!! Happy 2010!
