Our 4th of July, 2011!!!

This year we didn’t do much for the 4th. We actually just hung around at home for most of the day, leaving only to run some errands and grab lunch and then come home. We watched the fireworks from our backyard…we actually got a decent view of them with out all the loud noise, so it was nice! Next year I’m sure we’ll venture out somewhere with Carter and Callie to watch them, but this year I was big and it was hot and the last thing I wanted to do was stay out late when I knew we had to be up early for work and daycare the next morning!

I’m glad we decided to stay home this year, we had a good time just being with each other :)

Summer Night’s

On the days where its not TOO terribly hot out, we still go outside to play before dinner on most afternoons. Carter can’t get enough of the outdoors and it keeps me active too, which is a good thing :)

One thing Carter loves to do is ride his new bike. He’s gotten really good on it, hardly falling off anymore. Riding his tractor is also a favorite of his. He pretends to cut the grass and will ride around the yard looking all serious and concentrating- just like his dad. Anyway, I’ve been really bad about getting pictures lately… but here are some from today of my big boy riding his bike!

He usually wears his helmet, but kept taking it off today because he said he was hot

Visiting (again)!!

Tonight we went over to visit the Marsh family again. I know we JUST saw them at the hospital, but before we left on Friday we suggested that one day during the week (once they were home) we could bring dinner and hang out. So, tonight after work we headed on over with some Pizza Hut :)

It was a good visit. The boys got to play (or fight, lol) over toys and Brandy and I got to talk,  and of course I got some cute shots of the sweet sleeping Maisy :)

Having a serious conversation about the cup in Ryder’s hand. Carter was asking if it was Ryder’s cup, but Ryder was quick to correct him and say “No, this is Maisy’s cup!”

34 Week Doctor appointment!

Today I had my 34 week appt. and it went really good! I had to drive all the way to the Clinton office at Southern Maryland Hospital because that is where Dr. Ali is going to be all week until he leaves for vacation! Yes, he is going on vacation for the next two weeks!!!!!!! Fingers crossed nothing happens between now and the time he gets back ;)



Anyway, the visit went good. Callie's heart beat was 141 and I am still measuring right on time! He took cultures (ugh, lol) and blood so hopefully those comeback normal and everything looks good! He told me that we would schedule my C-Section at my next visit and he would see me on July 21st....three weeks from now! I was kind of surprised he made it for 3 weeks instead of 2 like we've been doing, especially since I am so close to the end, but I guess he knows best. After looking at the calender, I got really anxious and excited because after my next visit, I will only go ONE more time before Callie is here!!!!!!!! That makes it seem SO much closer. Okay, I gotta get organzied, lol!

Two Birthday Parties In One Day!!

Today we had two special birthday parties to attend. The first one was Miss Bailey’s 3rd birthday party! I can’t believe she is 3 already…these kids are all growing up too fast! The party was so much fun, lots of good food and good company :)

She would open a gift and say “aww!” and “Thank you!” such a sweet girl :)

Carter really enjoyed the moon bounce and Bailey’s swing set/playground!

             

After leaving her party…we headed over to celebrate Jenny’s 9th birthday party at my parents house. Earlier in the day she went to see Kung Fu Panda with my parents and her friends, so they had a little cake and ice-cream and gifts that afternoon.

Welcome Maisy!

I can’t believe this little girl is here already! Brandy’s pregnancy flew by and now I only have a few short weeks left until Callie makes her arrival! Seeing Maisy made me that much more excited, nervous, and anxious about what I am about to be going through very soon! Brandy looked great though and Maisy is beyond adorable with her full head of hair and chubby cheeks :)

I had to steal this one from Brandy’s blog… she JUST had a baby and beat me to blogging…now that is bad! I need to get it together, ha!

We got to the hospital on Friday a little after 5 and ended up staying until almost 9pm! I felt so bad after we left that we stayed SO long! I guess we lost track of time, but I know Brandy was so exhausted and just needed to get some rest! I think Maisy just had us all wrapped around her tiny finger already and we didn't want to leave ; )

I’m sure we’ll be by to visit again soon! & I can’t wait until Callie and Maisy can meet! 5 more weeks, ahhh!!!!
