Family Photo’s!!

It was such a pretty day yesterday that I decided it was time to take some family pictures! I’ve been wanting to get some photo’s of us (CJ, Carter, and myself) together before Callie gets here and our family goes from three to four :) Well, yesterday was beautiful out and our sunflowers are in full bloom now, so we had to take advantage of it! Its nice having such pretty scenery right in our own backyard to take photo’s and the sun flowers were a perfect backdrop for summer portraits!

I can’t wait until Callie gets here and we can get some new family portraits of the FOUR of us :) 18 more days!!!!!

Ordinary Days

I love ordinary days at home relaxing. Especially when the weather is nice and we can actually enjoy being outside.

Last night Carter and I played on the front porch, coloring with chalk and watching the humming birds fly around!

They were so cute! I love watching them because they will fight over the food! Its so cute to hear them chirping and buzzing by!

 

 Ohh and I can’t forget to include pictures of my boy cutting the grass, his specialty ;)

Carter’s First Field Trip!

Yesterday Carter went on his first field trip ever! His preschool class at the CDC went bowling on the Indian Head Base (which is right down the street). I couldn’t be there to take pictures, as bad as I wanted to be, I had to stay at work and save my leave! Luckily, Hannah’s mommy (she is one of Carter’s classmates) works in the same building as the bowling alley and got some cell phone pictures for me!

He just looks so grown up to me in these pictures! When he got home, he told me all about his day. He said he had alot of fun, but he didn’t really like the bowling shoes, go figure, ha! ;)

A change in plans

After much thought on my part and persuasion by CJ and Denise, I finally caved and decided that we should switch bedroom’s around. Since Carter usually sleeps through things pretty well and since he is bigger and needs more space, I decided that we would give the bigger room a try! So, this past weekend, we made the switch.

So far its been pretty good. He did whine about wanting to switch back the first night and a little bit on Monday, but seemed to do better last night. I figure we will try things this way for a while and if it gets too hard once Callie is here, then we can always switch back!

Just Can’t get enough!

Yesterday evening we made another trip over to the Marsh house hold :) It was a last minute thing, but it was nice to hang out and see Maisy again! She slept practically the whole time we were there, Brandy had to wake her up to feed her and she wasn't too happy about it, lol! This girl loves her sleep!

The boys had fun together too! They were cracking me and Brandy up ;)

35 Weeks!

In the beginning of this pregnancy, I told myself I was going to blog about it with weekly pictures and updates. Well, I haven’t exactly been doing that! I’ve been a real slacker since I got pregnant, but hey, at least I have some documentation of it and some is better than none ;)

Here I am at 35 weeks! Smiling through the “I am SO over this!” feeling!

So far in this pregnancy I’ve gained 30lbs. Which is way better than I did with Carter, so I am happy about it. I still feel huge most days though. I think the swelling I am experiencing plays a big part in me feeling this way too because my ankles and calves will feel so tight, ugh! Thank God I haven't had any facial or hand swelling yet! Knock on wood that doesn't happen. I’ve still been trying to stay active, doing my Gabrielle Reese Pregnancy DVD at night after Carter goes to bed. I hate to say that I’ve been slacking in that area too lately though and I can feel it. I feel so much better and less exhausted and achy when I exercise, but its hard to get up the energy to even do it-as bad as that sounds!

Oh and another thing,  my Braxton Hicks Contractions are coming more often now and man do they HURT! There are times when I feel like I can’t move at all because it hurts to even breathe!! You women out there that did it “all natural” seriously, how in the heck did you do it???!  Oh well, I just have to stick it out a few more weeks and I'll be holding my baby girl :) I can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go to see Dr. Ali on July 21st and I’ll be 37 weeks. Hopefully it goes well, but I'm nervous because it will be my first ‘exam’ and we all know how uncomfortable those are!

Our 4th of July, 2011!!!

This year we didn’t do much for the 4th. We actually just hung around at home for most of the day, leaving only to run some errands and grab lunch and then come home. We watched the fireworks from our backyard…we actually got a decent view of them with out all the loud noise, so it was nice! Next year I’m sure we’ll venture out somewhere with Carter and Callie to watch them, but this year I was big and it was hot and the last thing I wanted to do was stay out late when I knew we had to be up early for work and daycare the next morning!
