Sick again :(

 

Yepp, that’s right. Carter is sick again! Now, what do you think it is this time? Something new? Nope-another ear infection & a virus! That’s why I haven’t posted since Wednesday. Thursday daddy had games and me and Carter stayed home-he wasn’t sick then, but we went to bed early so I didn’t take any pictures. Friday when he got home from daycare he felt warm so I took his temperature and it was 100.5-low-grade fever. So, I called the doctor and they told me to bring him in Saturday morning so that they could check his ears since he gets alot of ear infections. Well, when he woke up that morning he still had 100.5 temp so I knew something was up. We got to the doctors and they checked him out, sure enough he had ear infection in his right ear and a little bit of a red throat. So they wrote him a perscription & told me to expect a fever for the next few days. She also suggested that I get in touch with a ENT (Ears, Nose, Throat) specialist because more than likely Carter will need tubes :( I was really upset about that, but after thinking about it-it might be for the best. If it helps him to not get so many ear infections then we have to do it. It is better than him suffering every month like he has been for the last 9 months almost! So Last night was pretty rough. His temperature got up to 103.9 and stayed pretty high for a while. We gave him Tylenol and a luke warm bath and FINALLY it went down But we had to keep up on the Motrin/Tylenol every 4 hours (alternating) like the Dr said. Today he still had a pretty high fever, around 102.8, but I am praying that by tonight he is doing better! Tonight will be over 24 hours on the antibiotic so it should start working. But like Dr. Mena said, it wont do anything for the virus-so be patient because that part will have to run its course. No pictures right now, Carter is napping and I am trying to clean up before he wakes up. To all the mom-bloggers out there, just say little prayer for him that he gets better soon!! I will have some pictures and better news hopefully tomorrow!!!
