After a few weeks of bouncing the idea back and forth, we decided to just go for it! We turned Carter’s bed into a “Toddler” bed tonight.
Carter has been asking about a “Big boy bed” since he saw Adriana’s. I have been a little hesitant to make the switch because of fear that he would not stay put at bed time. Well, so far so good because he is sleeping soundly now in it and didn’t give me a hard time at all! One night down, many more to go :)
He asked CJ to sing him “Rock a Bye Baby” here….so sweet.

Lovin’ his new BIG boy bed :)
After test driving this bed for a while, I want to convert it to a twin. I wanted to make the process gradual so that it’s not a HUGE change for him and he can get used to it. I also plan to get a gate this week, that way he can’t get out of his room and wonder around the house. Oh, and one more thing, I want to get him a cute bed spread set! I saw some really adorable ones at Target so I will be making a trip there soon too :)

I love that he still has the little elephant that you pull his tail to get music hanging on his big boy bed. Mikayla had one of those when she was itty bitty....aw :)
Awwww I love his new bed! That's cool how it sill leaves the half rails there at first. Anxious to hear how he did lastnight!
