We started & finished our decorating the Saturday after Thanksgiving, one day late from our usual start date! But this year, I worked the day after Turkey Day, when I usually have that day off. I need the leave since I was out for so long on Maternity leave and Grammy graciously offered to babysit so I could go in. Hence, why we started late…the kids don’t allow for too much down time ;)
Anyway, our decoration are up! The whole house is full of Christmas spirit and we couldn’t be more excited for Santa! I enjoy all the days leading up to Christmas morning almost as much as the actual day. All the lights, gathering’s, shopping, etc…I love it all! I mean, they don’t call it the season of JOY & LOVE for nothing, right?!
This year we have another reason to be thankful and joyful…this sweet girl, who we love with all our heart!
And of course, our sweet boy, too! He has made Christmas so much more fun with each passing year. And now that little sister is here to join us, Our Christmas’s look a lot more bright & merry!
Like I said in the beginning of the post, we started decorating last Saturday and finished everything up! Carter helped fluff the tree and put up the lights and ornaments. He really had a good time this year with it and was actually a great help! He is getting so big :)
Callie just lounged in her bouncy chair and watched :)
Oh and hung out with Daddy too & talked about hunting… If daddy has it his way, she will be outside hunting right along with him and Carter!
& Callie loves looking at all the Christmas lights…..
Our tree!!!! Well, minus the star! Carter broke it on accident, but we’ll get a new one!
I’ll get a better picture of the tree later. This one doesn't do it justice! It is so beautiful in the sun room with all the window’s around and the wood floor…the lights really shine :)
Let the countdown begin! Yay!
