A Family Reunion

Last Saturday we hosted the Wright Family Reunion down at the pier! It was a hot day out, but with the tents up, it wasn't too bad! We spent ALL day outside, from 11am until almost 7pm. I think all of us were pooped by the end of the day, but we had a really good time. Carter got to play with a lot of his cousins and we all got to eat some yummy food & hang out with good people!

Johnny’s Graduation!!

Tuesday was my brother Johnny’s High School Graduation from McDonough. Through the years he has always been a very good student, always getting A’s and B’s on his report cards. This year he averaged a 4.0 GPA all year, taking honors classes and he even got two scholarships to CSM. He has made us all very proud and watching him walk across that stage was a happy moment for us all.

After the ceremony we went out to eat! And after that, I went home! I didn't get home until 2:30 so it was good that I took the whole day off and I’m also glad I decided not to bring Carter with me. It turned out to be a very hot day and very hectic up there, so it would have just been too hard on both of us.

This whole day just brought back so many memories from my graduation and that time period in my life. So, needless to say, it was bittersweet. It makes you realize how you have to cherish every experience because before you know it, those moments become memories!

Congratulation’s again Johnny! We love you and are so proud of you :)

A Shower For Me & My Girl

Last night, a nice group of girls ( & fellow mommy’s!) were able to come together and throw Callie & I a beautiful shower/dinner at our house. Thanks to Brandy, Denise, and to anyone else who helped make it happen!

So glad I could be pregnant with my best friend ;) Its been so nice to have her to lean on… and soon we’ll be experiencing having girls together too! Thanks Brandy for everything you did to make my shower so special!

30 Week Doctor Visit

Okay, so I know Brandy used this picture for her 36 week post, but I’ve been to lazy to take one of myself! Plus, I just really like this picture of us, so I thought I’d use it too :)

Now, onto the doctor’s appointment…

Today I had my 30 week check up with Dr. Ali. I gained 2 lbs since my last visit so that makes about 22lbs so far. I passed my glucose test with flying colors and my blood pressure was perfect! Callie’s heart beat was 148 and my belly is measuring right on target.

After he measured my stomach, I worked up the nerve to ask him for another sonogram! Well to my surprise, he actually said yes! He really is the sweetest doctor, I am so glad I switched to him :) So, I made my sonogram appointment for June 13th at 4:30pm. I’ll be 31 weeks and a few days, so I’m hoping to get a good shot of her face!!!!

My next appointment with Dr. Ali is June 16th and I’ll be 32 weeks along! Only 9 more weeks left… hopefully they go quick because this momma is HOT!
