Carter James,

What in the world would we do without you? You are so full of life and have a heart of gold. There isn’t anything you wouldn’t do for your family or your little sister- who you care so much about. Even though she drives you crazy sometimes, I know you wouldn’t have it any other way! When I think of the day you were born and how much you have grown since then, it fills my heart with so much happiness. As a mom we want our kids to stay little forever, but to watch you grow up is a true blessing and I Thank God for you each and every day.

I think if you had it your way, you would stay home and hang out with your dad all day long. You look up to him so much! I pray you always look at him the way you do now because he loves you with all of his heart, as do I. Even though you are your dad’s main man, you have had your momma’s heart from day one.

There are so many things you are into now-a-days… T-Ball, swimming, super heroes, you love learning about nature and animals! One of your favorite shows to watch is Wild Krattz on PBS Kids. It’s all about animals and most days, Callie watches with you. You made a lot of new friends in Kindergarten this year and had your first field trip (ever!) to the National Zoo, with mommy! This year you also learned how to write your first and last name, along with many other words! You are reading on grade level and your favorite subject (besides recess) is math!

I can’t say enough how proud we are of you and how much we love you! I can’t wait to see what this next year holds and all of the adventures to come!

Love you always,
