The Month of April 2013

Here I am, my second night of blogging! I have to say it feels good, I don’t feel like such a slacker. I’m going to go right into April and hopefully I can recap the whole month in this post.

After I posted about CJ’s surprise party weekend, I realized I never blogged about Easter! We celebrated Easter spending time with family. Honestly, that day was so hectic….I didn’t snap one good picture of the kids. Here are some pictures from Tball, we had practice the day before Easter!

 

Easter was a lot of fun this year because Callie was walking and really into the egg hunt at church! I’ll never forget their sweet faces Easter morning when they found their baskets.

Back in Business!

 

Let me just start off by saying Wahoooo, I’m back to the blogger world! Saying its been far too long would be an understatement! Its seriously been painfully way, way too long since I have blogged. Today I randomly looked at a couple close friends blogs that I haven’t checked out in……I’m ashamed to admit, but months! I. feel. horrible.

The beautiful thing is though, I can retrace all of these lost months and catch up! And, hopefully not make the same mistake twice. My last blog post was in February 2013. With that said, I am going to roll right into March and go on from there. Bare with me!

In the beginning of March CJ and I went on a weekend getaway with our good friends The Marsh’s! We had a lot of fun shopping and spending time together. By weekends end, I missed the kids dearly… and for some reason I cannot find a picture from that trip! Anyway, the days rolled on and the weather warmed up!

Carter started T-ball, CJ and Blake coached! It was so much fun to watch him play his first real team sport! I cannot wait until spring 2014 so we can sign him back up!

The life…..

April came fast and we had a busy month! I actually managed to pull off a MAJOR surprise for CJ’s 30th Birthday! I couldn’t have done it with out so many friends helping me. I was a nervous wreck, but it turned out great and we had so much fun!

The night before…we hounded him about getting the grass cut! Little did he know it was for his OWN party!

The morning of the party was T-ball opening day!

Where do I begin?!…part II

 

Okay, so the second half of my update starts with Callie in her cute PJ’s she got for Christmas.

This girl knows her princesses! If you ask her she can usually name them. Cinderella is “rella” and I think she looks just precious in all her cute princess jammies!

And finally, just some recent pictures of brother and sister together. I try not to let too much time pass before I make these two sit down together and pose for me. They’ll appreciate it one day!

As of February 5th, Callie is 18 months old. A whole 1 year and 6 months have passed since she joined our family! Its been a fun, busy, blessed life with her in it. She brings a smile to everyone around her and we are so thankful for her! These days you can find her following her brother around, trying to do whatever he is doing. She plays with all of his toys and it aggravates him at times, but he shows her loads of patience; for the most part! If she’s not being his shadow, she’s usually on my hip or playing with her dolls, or singing songs. This girl loves to sing! Most days when I read her Pre-Toddler Gram from daycare the notes say something like “Callie enjoyed singing songs today!” or “Today Callie danced and sang songs with her friends!” She also LOVES to sing along to the Alan Jackson Gospel CD. When she is extremely fussy on car rides, it is the only CD that calms her down.

 

As for her 18 month stats, I will have to update on that later. Her appointment is set for Feb. 20th so we will cross that bridge soon! Weighing her here at home our scale reads 25.4 lbs but I’m not sure how accurate that is.
