New Things

I have been really slacking on puting updated posts on here these last few months :( BUT that will change I promise!! I dont have any pictures to post right now because I am actually at work and dont have my camera. I just want to write about all the NEW things Carter has been up to these last couple months! First, He is on Stage 3 foods now and also eats alot of people food. He LOVES big people food :) He has tried many different things like; Brocoli, potatoes, bread, noodles, Graham crackers (he loves these), biscuits, mandarin oranges, ham, yogurt, cheese, and those little "Puffs" cookies Gerber makes!! He has grown so much since Christmas! He can chew food now, well, gum food...haha!! Its Crazy. Developmental wise, he has changed ALOT! He can clap his hands when you tell him too, he can pick up little foods with his fingers and feed himself, He can crawl forward and backward, He can stand up while holding on to something, He can hold his sippy cup and drink all by himself, hold a bottle (although, he is pretty lazy when it comes to this) AND he even throws little fits when he doesnt get his way! He is also at the age where seperation anxiety kicks in and BOY has it! When I leave a room that he is in he SCREAMS!! Poor guy, but its cute because that just means he misses me :)

When it comes to Growth he is a big boy now! He is 19.6 lbs, and almost 28 inches long! He has 2 bottom teeth and I really do think the 2 top will be coming in VERY soon! He is really growing up so fast, next week (March 21) will be his 10 month old B-day! I cant believe its been 10 months already :) He is our little Blessing and brings SO much Happiness into our lives everyday! Anyway, thats it for now!!I will have LOTS of pictures to post later to make up for not posting in a while. Have a great day!

Today we went and got 'Family' pictures taken at The Picture People, in the mall. These are our first professional pictures of Carter and us! I wanted to get 6 month pictures done, but we ended up having to wait because they can be very expensive!! I am happy to finally have these and I think they turned out beautiful!!

Christmas 2008

Here are some Christmas morning pictures of Carter. He was 7 months old! He also got his Second tooth today :) Now he has 2 little chompers on the bottom, haha! He loves to run his tongue over them & use them to eat new foods :)

We had a wonderful Christmas :) Carter got some nice gifts, We had a good dinner with our families and relaxed as a family! Carters 1st Christmas was amazing!

Teeth!!

Carter cut his first tooth today! You cant see it, but you can definetley feel it! I have a feeling the second bottom tooth isnt far behind! I can see a white spot right there, like its about to pop through any minute :)

I dont have any pictures of his tooth because its hard to even see! Once it comes out more, I will try to get a good shot!!

Growing so fast!

I can not believe that Carter is almost 7 months old already! It seems like just yesterday I was miserable and pregnant in my last trimester, waiting for him to come!! Next thing you know, he is here growing and changing every day! With everyday comes something new and exciting! Right now he is 17.5lbs!! A long way from his birth weight of 7lbs 10.3 oz & 21 inches long! Now he is also 26.5 inches long, thats 2 feet 2inches tall, haha! He sits up on his own with out support, rolls over, can pull himself to a sitting position from laying flat on his back, says baba, dada, and makes tons of other noises! He eats cereal and so far has eaten Apple sauce, Bananas, Peaches, Carrots, Peas, and Sweet potatoes! The first time Carter said Dada was 11/26 while I was at work :( He said it in front of daddy, Grammy d, and Grandad! The morning around 9 am..... 11.27 (Thanksgiving) he said Dada in front of mommy for the first time :) it was crystal clear and mommy was so proud! OH, and yes he said dada before mama, but its okay! I know he will say mama soon!! This month (December 20th) we have an appointment to get family photos done at Portrait Studios in Waldorf. We are very excited and I will post those when I get them!

It really is amazing how time flies! My parents used to say it all the time and I never realized how true that is until Carter came into my life, our lives :) We went to visit Tara, Blake, & baby Kaiden in the hospital the day after he was born (11.18) and when I held him in my arms it took me back to just a few months ago when my little boy was that small! I already feel like he is growing up too fast!! One day he will read this and probably think its corny, but thats ok. Mommy will continue to cherish every moment and take TONS of pictures because thats what mommies do, :))

A visit to see Santa

Today we took Carter to get pictures with Santa! Marbury Baptist Church has a function every year called "Breakfast with Santa" where they read stories to the children and, santa is there to take pictures and they serve breakfast! This year was our first time going!!! I know it doesnt look like it from this picture, but Carter was a really good boy!! This is the only picture that I got on my camera because it died right after I took it! Figures!! Luckily, CJ's cousin Linda had her camera and was able to get some really cute shots of Carter with Santa and a family shot with Santa too!! Here is the picture I got, the others are framed in our house :)

Carter's 1st booboo :(

Carter got a boo boo at daycare today!! they called around 12pm & said that he was playing on the floor and leaned forward to reach a toy and bumped his little head on the cabinet! Of course I was upset when I heard, but he was fine and they filed a little accident report to send home with him! Here are some pictures of the little guy & his little bruise. He is tuff so it didnt even bother him :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here are some pictures of my lil guy on Turkey Day! The whole day all I kept saying was "I want a family picture" a picture of me, CJ, & Carter together! Today CJ & I made a promise, along with our families, to raise Carter in a God loving home! Pastor Tim Bean performed the dedication and he also married CJ & I at our wedding in September. It was a very special day and we are so happy that we got to share it with everyone:)

Carter was such a good boy too! He fussed only for a minute in the begining, but then was fine and mommy held him while Pastor Tim spoke! At the end all of the dedication our family, friends, and church family stood & also promised to help in teaching Carter about God as he grows up! We recieved a Certificate from the Church, signed by Tim that CJ & I also signed! We took some really nice pictures with my camera, here they are!! CJ's cousin Greg also took some really good pictures with his NICE camera and we are waiting to get the CD in the mail. Im sure I will put some of the ones he took on here later. OH, by the way.....Carter is 6 months and 2 days old in these pictures! He is growing up SO fast!

This was Carter's first time trying sweet potatoes! Look at that face! Doesnt look like he enjoyed them the first time around, but now he loves them and eats them all the time at day care and at home with mommy! What a priceless picture though ;)
