"Holy Crap!"
(This is a funny story from our evening running errands last night!)
Yesterday after work CJ, Carter, & I headed out to get a few things we needed. With Carter starting Soccer tonight I wanted to get him some long johns, some shorts, and cleats…..plus, we also needed a couple household items. Well, the whole ride up the road Carter was very quiet. He had this “attitude” and just kept saying “I wanna go home”! I think he was just tired, but nonetheless we told him to be a good boy and we wouldn’t be long. He was great at Sports Authority, although he did want everything in sight LOL! “Mommy I wanna helmet!”, “Mommy, I ride dis bike?”, “I wanna baseball bat!” etc. Although we didn’t find shorts that fit, we did get him a pair of cleats for $5 and a baseball bat & ball set he liked that was $6. I try to teach him that he can’t always get a toy when we’re out and we don’t, but this time was an exception :)
After leaving Sports Authority, we headed to Target. Well, when we pulled into the parking lot and found a space do you know what came out of this child’s mouth? He said “hey mommy, guess what? Holy Crap!” and then laughed hysterically! At first, CJ and I laughed too because it came out of nowhere, but after about the 3rd or 4th time saying it, I told him those words aren’t nice and we don’t talk like that! He did stop saying it and then we went inside, but I just thought it was too funny not to share! I have no clue where he heard that from either because no one in our house ever says that. My only guess is other children in daycare, but who knows.
Once inside Target, it was an experience for sure. This is the first time Carter has acted up so bad in a store that I had to take him out. Usually he is a very good boy, but not this time. He was throwing things out of the cart, yelling, kicking his shoes off and throwing them, talking back to CJ, etc. So, after many warnings to “Be good, sit down or we have to leave, etc” I carried him out of there and CJ finished shopping! He cried the whole way out of the store until I got him strapped in his seat. What’s funny is that last week when I was in Target (again lol!) I saw a mom there with her children and the littlest one was acting up BAD. She screamed the whole time they waited in line to pay and the whole way out of the store. Once they walked out I thought to myself, “Glad that’s not my kid!” and now look, a week later I am eating my words because I had to go through almost the same thing, HA! Parenthood, you gotta love it.
Once he calmed down I explained to him that he doesn’t act like that, it’s not allowed. I told him to apologize to Daddy when he got in the car and once CJ did, Carter said “Daddy, I sorry, Daddy!” That little rascal, can’t stay mad at him very long ;)
The End.

Me & You
Yesterday was just that…Me and You, little guy! We spent almost the entire day outside! And what a perfect day to be outdoors…high 70’s and sunny, it couldn’t have been more pretty out!
We started off our day by waking up early and heading to see the big concrete trucks where Daddy was working! Carter loved watching the guys work and the equipment roll in. After a little while there, we left and headed over to Gilbert Run for some play time! We got there around 9:30 and had the playground all to ourselves :) Around 10:30 people started showing up and Carter had a messy diaper, so we left and went to Target. We walked around there for a bit, got some things, and headed home! It was nap time and he sure needed it after our busy, EARLY, morning!!
When he woke up around 2, we went back outside to enjoy the rest of our day! We played, took walks, and played some more :) It was one of those days that you just don’t ever forget. Even though it was simple, we spent it together…just enjoying ….us ;)
Wondering what the orange stuff is on his face? He had a big, iced, orange (with sprinkles!) sugar cookie right before I took these pictures!
** PS. please don’t forget to scroll down just a bit further to see the pictures I am SO VERY proud of :) ……if I do say so myself!!

Sneak Peak…
Happy Saturday everyone!
Today we’ve spent the majority of our time out doors because it is just a perfect sunny day! We woke up early this morning, headed over to the job site where Daddy was working to see the trucks, then headed to Gilbert Run.
We had the park all to ourselves practically (minus a few walkers and joggers here and there!) which I think we both loved. Then after a while there, we went to Target, came home and Carter took a 2 hour nap. Since he woke up, we’ve been outside off and on all day :)
Well, at the park I got a few really good shots of Carter on the bridge and on the playground…so here is a sneak peak :)

A visit from Olivia

We had alot of fun just catching up and hanging out. We've been friends since 9th grade, almost 10 years now!! So, even though we don't see eachother that often, we pick up right where we left off when we do get together :)
These were the only pictures I got because I didn't pull out my camera once while she was here, but she did get these on her phone and I stole them off Facebook!!

Gilbert Run with friends
Today we met some friends at Gilbert Run Park! Let me introduce you to some of them…..
(The ones that let me take their picture. Most were off on the playground..playing!)
Ryder…posing oh so sweet for me :)
Playing with sticks and rocks, what boys do best!
Mikayla
…. she was pretty busy too so I was lucky to get a picture of her!! I wish I had they’re energy!
& of course, Carter….
Maddy :)
Ohh and here’s Mikayla again, loving on Ryder. Doesn’t Ryder look like he’s in heaven in the second picture? lol
They hug it out ;)
And finally, here is my attempt to get a good group shot of all the kids! All the mommies were snapping away, screaming for the kids to look their way! Its Pretty funny because no matter how hard we try to get them to smile and pose, they still do what they want, lol! They are Priceless pictures though if you ask me…
All in all it really was a fun day! Even though it was pretty crowded, I think we would all like to do it again soon! Maybe next time we’ll do a morning playdate….with breakfast involved?! hmm….sounds like a good idea to me ;)

Paddle Boat
I can’t believe its Labor Day weekend already! Gosh, where has the summer gone?
A few days ago, Grandad bought Carter a Paddle Boat :) Why? Just because he likes to spoil him, that’s why, ha!
Well, so far this weekend has been gorgeous out. I mean, we couldn’t ask for better weather! So, this morning we decided to take the new boat out for a little spin around the pond!
We didn’t have a life jacket, all we had was arm floaties…so we kept him right in the middle!
Buddies :)
We had SO much fun! I think we’ll be playing on this boat a lot :)
