Our Friday & Saturday…

Our weekend started off with Carter and Daddy pigging out on junk food and making a mess…what boys do best I suppose ;)

Carter brought me home this Art work from Daycare too…. The caption at the bottom is what he told the teacher he drew! Ha!

Saturday morning started bright and early! Carter did sleep in until 7am though, which was nice considering he’s been waking up at 6am even on weekends lately! Anyway, after breakfast we went outside to play! Here is our rose bush we planted last weekend! Its growing lovely!!

Carter and Daddy flew his Spider Man kite since it was so windy out! Grammy got it for him a couple weeks back, but it really hasn’t been windy enough to use until this weekend! Carter did it by himself for a little while too, until he let go…. then it was bye-bye Spider Man! LOL!

&& don’t get me wrong, I adore my camera, but this is why I need a zoom lens! Then, I would’ve been able to get a better shot of this…

              

Later that afternoon after lunch and Carter’s nap, we went to Shamansky’s for Denise’ (Grammy) birthday dinner! It was yummy :) Carter ate popcorn shrimp, crabs, and hush puppies!

Mother’s Day 2010

I can’t believe my second Mother’s Day EVER, has already passed!! Time is flying by!

I couldn’t have hoped for a better day! I woke up to some wonderful gifts from my two boys. Carter made me a little cup in daycare filled with yummy chocolates ;) And CJ got me the new Ed Hardy perfume gift set. It smells SO good, I love it!

After we got ready, we left and headed down to Marbury for the Mother’s Day breakfast at church. It was delicious, as always, and Carter had alot of fun running all around the hall. After breakfast, we went to my parents to visit and CJ cut the grass for them :) Then, we came home and enjoyed the rest of our day relaxing and playing outside! It was truly a perfect Mother’s Day, I am really blessed!

Fly Swatter

Who would’ve thought that a $1 household item could make a kid so entertained! I mean, of all the things in the world, a Fly Swatter?! Ha!!

Yesterday at BJ’s Granny bought Carter one to keep him happy while she shopped and ever since, he’s been obsessed with it :) So much so, that he even wanted to sleep with it last night..so I let him!! I took it out of his crib once he fell asleep just so that he wouldn’t roll on top of it and it wake him up or something, but I thought that was the funniest thing! He seems like he really gets a kick out of walking around the house and trying to find bugs to swat at. He’s trying to be the little man of the house already I guess.

& here he is in his new pajama’s we got for him yesterday at Target, too cute to pass up! 

Today we played outside for a little bit…and swatted at some more bugs ;)

He spotted his next victim…

What’s funny is that he’ll ask me before he gets them. He’ll say…"mommy, I get it??" but no matter what my answer is, he swats them anyway and then says “I got it!”

        

Maybe I should just get him a bin full of fly swatter’s for his birthday?! Haha… It’s amazing how sometimes the simplest things, like a card board box or a tent made out of blankets can make a child’s day!!

Carter’s 2nd Haircut EVER!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE…………………..

I guess the fourth try’s the charm?! HA! Not so much! We got it done….yes!! We got it done :) However, it didn’t come without a TON of patience, bribery, tears (unfortunately!), and did I mention patience yet??!!!

I felt so bad making him get his hair cut when he really didn’t want to, but it was time for a change and I am very happy with the results! And, so was Carter once we got home and cleaned up in the tub!

  

He looks like a little man with his new hair :) So handsome!!

Sunday crabs!!

 

Saturday night Carter spent the night at Mimaw’s house so that CJ & I could go to our friend’s cookout!!

My mom said he had a great time playing over there & it was really nice of her to babysit for us so we could get out and see some friends!!  Sunday after we picked Carter up, we came home to crabs, yum!! Grandad decided to get a bushel of crabs from Tompson’s and they were delicious! Carter loved them :)

It was a nice relaxing day. CJ’s cousin Michele & her boyfriend were in town from New York for the weekend so we got to visit with them too ;)
