Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Well, as you can see from the pictures, Carter doesn’t look so happy!! LOL! I took these at 5:30am yesterday and he’s not really a morning person, haha!!! Oh well, I thought his shirt was cute and I wanted a picture of it :)

We didn’t do anything for St. Patty’s, just hung out at home!!! AND Carter was in a better mood when he got home from daycare ;)

 

What a beautiful day!!

These pictures are from yesterday, but last night I was having issues with my Live Writer so I couldn’t get them up! I’m not sure what the problem was, but I’m so thrilled it’s working now :) Thanks ladies for talking to me about it today on email!! Haha! I was very frustrated!

Okay, so yesterday was gorgeous out, just like today was! Today was even warmer than yesterday and we did go out and play again today! Of course, I took alot of pictures too, I hope to get them up later on tonight, but we’ll see…I am pretty tired! Being a workin’ mama is hard lol!! I know all you ladies can agree with that.

Here are the pictures from yesterday, we were walking on the trail right next to our house. Its actually the “Doctor’s” road to his house. We call him Dr. because he has a PH.D, but we’re not sure in what, lol! We think psychology. Anyway, his house is down by ours and the trail that leads up to it is beautiful!!!

We had so much fun on our walk! Days like these make me realize how much I LOVE spring! It was so lovely out…I hope this sunny warm weather sticks around from here on out!!

One final picture…Carter eating his dinner after we came in. He had a burger with no bun and tator-tots!! I cannot get this kid to eat bread for the life of me!! LOL! I mean, he will eat toast sometimes and he will eat eggos sometimes, but for the most part he won’t eat it! At least at home he won’t. Daycare is another story :) Somehow they get him to eat stuff I can’t!!

Weekend Recap!!

Now that my internet is cooperating, here is my weekend recap…on a Wednesday! A little late is better than nothing at all, right??

Friday was Carl aka Grandad’s 60th Birthday! We celebrated at our house with some family over and had a nice dinner from Dale’s. Let me just say that they have the best chicken and potato salad ever, yummm, it was delicious! Carter went to bed at normal time because as you can see in the pictures below, he was pretty tired.

I know my pictures are out of order, BUT….before he got all cleaned up and sleepy eyed, he went Banana’s over this ice cream cake Uncle Mike & Melanie brought over, haha!!!

Saturday I didn’t take any pictures because we didn’t really do much and it was raining out! We did meet Steven & Jamie for breakfast at IHOP, but I forgot my camera in the car :/ Carter was a very good boy in the restaurant though, I will say that! He’s getting better guys ; )

Okay now onto Sunday! We woke up and met Alan, Brandy, & Ryder for breakfast at Shamansky’s! We ate good for breakfast this weekend, hehe! Anyway, we LOVE they’re food. It is so hot and fresh for being a buffet and they have everything you could possibly want :) Carter ate sausage, scrapple, eggs, bacon, a cinnamon roll, and drank chocolate milk!! Even though he is teething and has been an even MORE picky eater than usual, breakfast is the one meal that has not changed! He loves it, its one of his favorites. After breakfast I went to my moms and then to the mall for a bit while CJ went to help Steven over at Karen’s new house. Carter & I got home around 5:30 and then it was our nightly routine of bath, story time, and bed :) Here are some pictures from Shamansky’s and later on that night when we got home…..these were the only  pictures I got of the whole day!

So, that was our weekend! I can’t believe it took me this long to blog about it, but it’s been busy! Ohh, and this weekend was also “Spring Forward” which totally messed me up LOL! I am loving the extra daylight and warmer weather though so I guess I can’t complain!!!

What's up?!

I just wanted to let everyone know that we're still here! I can't believe it's been 6 days since I've posted anything, sheeshh, I'm really slacking this week. Carter hasn't been in the best of moods lately because he's teething so by the time he's in bed and I can blog, I'm worn out and ready to hit the sack myself! AND, last night we went to Target & Food Lion to get a few things and we got home later than expected. Then after I put Carter to bed, I realized Carl was working on the laptop, So I had to wait my turn ;) Then when I finally started to blog, the darn internet kicked me off three times! URGH, so frustrating!!! By this time it was 10pm so I decided to quit trying until today. Hopfully when I try tonight it won't kick me off again, grr!

A Lady Bug…

 

We named him MR. Lady Bug, Haha! It’s a “He” according to Carter!

  So Ity-Bity…..

I had to keep reminding him to be gentle. There were a few times where we almost had a very squished, yucky, gooey, Mr. Lady Bug ;)

 

This was also the first time he has held a bug! I mean, as far as I know! I’m sure he’s come across many little creatures at daycare on the playground, but I like to think of this as the first time! There was one time last summer when we chased grasshopper’s together, but we never caught them, Haha!!! 

This is a very good example of “The Simple Pleasures” in life. Isn’t it incredible how something so small could bring such amazement & joy?? Childhood…you gotta love it  :)

I haven't posted a "One Word Weds." Post in...Gosh who knows!! It's been a while! I saw that everyone else was posting this picture from lastnight's dinner, so I decided to join in. I think we all had a good time and this time it was finally JUST mommies! last time we tried to do this, some of us ended up bringing our little munchkins, lol! This dinner was much needed & I think we all got to unwind and relax, which we all deserve from time to time :)
