Time flies....

Toes....Nose ;)

This post is about learning & growing. Carter has learned so many new things lately, its amazing how much children his age absorb! He is like a little sponge, soaking everything in that he sees & hears! Thats why I have decided that I am going to teach him spanish & I'm going to start now! There is no better time than now. I was taught by my mother and grandmother & with their help, I will teach him. Afterall, he is a 1/4 Cuban, lol!

SO, next thing to talk about...

At Daycare they are constantly teaching the children new things. Well, this week they taught the kids to point to their nose, mouth, eyes, etc. Carter has picked this up very quickly! I ask him "where are your fingers?" And he sticks his little fingers out for me to see. I'll ask him "where is your mouth?" And he'll point to his little mouth and sitck his tongue out! He can point to his hair, eyes, nose, & pat his belly when I say "Where is your belly?" haha! He is so smart!

Every night before bed, I read him a book. His favorite books are the "Johnny Tractor" books & his "Winne the Pooh" book. Well, in these books he can point to certain objects when I ask him where they are. For example, in the Pooh book he can point to Piglet & Tigger! In the Farm ABC Book, he can point to the Tractor & the Dog! I love reading to him, he is such a good listener & even helps turn the pages :)

As for walking, well...if I do say so myself, my little guy is a pro! He is such a good walker & he is even started to go faster, like he is about to start running! MAN, am I gonna have my hands full! But I love every second of it :)

He walks into daycare everymorning & walks out to the car every afternoon! He waves bye-bye when he leaves and when he arrives in the morning, its always with a smile! Everyone there knows him....after all, CJ went there! haha! But they all love him and he loves them now! Every day I get a report card about his day and 9 times out of 10 he has had a great day, all smiles!!

There is just so many new changes going on with him lately, its like time is moving in fast-forward mode or something. he is learning so fast and changing everyday! Its been a while since I have written such a lengthy post, but I am just having so much fun...theres no way I can keep it to myself! Anyway, thats all for now! Next month I will have a whole new list of things to write about, I'm sure :)

Carter's 1st Haircut!

Today We took Carter to get his first haircut! He Got his hair cut by Cathy at the Charles Street Boutique ( i know a girlie place...but he is still too little for a barber shop!) at 4:00pm :)

I was very nervous about getting it cut! For one, I felt like once I cut it he wouldnt be a "baby" anymore! Second, I had a bad feeling he was going to hate it!! Well, I think I was right on target with both of my fears! He looks like such a big boy now :*) & he absolutley HATED getting it done! He screamed the whole time he was in the chair! I am happy with the results though ....so here are some pictures!!

Today was HOT.....so after i got off work and got home to my baby, I decided to take him outside and play in the sprinkler :) They were already on because we are watering the grass so I figured why not?! The water was cold & Carter didnt get too close, lol...but it was fun! Here are some pictures :)

Here are some pictures from our weekend. CJ & I ended up coming home on Saturday afternoon instead of Sunday because Daddy hurt his back Friday setting up the camper. We still had a good time, even though we didnt get to make it on the Canoe Ride....theres always next year though :)

This morning feeding Carter his bottle before leaving for daycare....today we also leave for our annual camping trip. We will be back on sunday, but Carter is going to stay with my mom for part of the weekend and then grammy will pick him up tomorrow afternoon and bring him back home so he's here when we get back :) I will miss him, but I know he'll have fun while were gone!

Bath time is always fun at our house! Carter still takes his baths in the BIG sink upstairs because its just his size and honestly its easier for me this way! Our tub downstairs is very deep and it would be hard for me to bend over it right now while he is still little! I still put him in his little bath seat because I'm afraid he will flip or something! He just wiggles so much in the tub, I want his balance to be alittle better before I stop using it!! Anyway, tonight Carter was having so much fun in the bath-after all it is one of his favorite places to be...so I just had to take a video!! I should do this more often ;]

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Our 4th of July was great :)

We hung around the house until daddy got off work and then headed over to Cobb Island to watch fireworks with Brandy, Alan & Ryder! We have been there before many times for the 4th, but this was Carters first time! He didnt like the loud fireworks too much, but it was still fun going over there and celebrating with our friends! Here are some pictures from our day! I didnt take as many as i should have...I need to get better about that!! I kick myself in the butt everytime i dont take enough, but I just have to do better next time!

Just a normal day

Today we just lounged around the house after work & daycare! Not really much going on....It actually started to thunderstorm really bad right before I got on here to post. Its calmed down now, but it was pretty crazy outside! Luckily, Carter was fast alseep before it started. Otherwise, it probably would have kept him up....he is so noisy, haha!! Anyway, here are some cute pictures of him playing today!

He LOVES this blanket! && this blanket was given to me by my mom. My abuela (thats spanish for grandma) made it for Uncle Johnny (my middle brother) when he was a baby...so its old. You would think he would like one of the many new blankets he has, but oh no! This one is his favorite! Its soft though and very light, he likes that because it doesnt make him hot. He sleeps with it every night!

Down at the water

Yesterday after it cooled down a little, we took Carter down to the water :) He has been down there before, but this was his first time in the water! CJ just dunked his feet in a little, but he seemed like he was having fun! The water was nice and refreshing & he played with the seashells on the shore too!! I am SO thankful that we have this farm, it is so beautiful down on the water!! He will have so much fun growing up down here, I just know it! Here are some pictures of us playing.
