Our Week (Last week!)

I know I’m more than a little late on this, but hey, better late than never right?!

Here is our week, last week, in pictures. We didn’t do much, just hung around the house everyday. Carter has started becoming quiet the “bossy man” around here lately. His new thing has been telling us (everyone in the house!) that HE is going to put one of US in “Time-out”! He thinks it’s the funniest thing ever and so do I because his face is so serious when he says it. He’ll say “Mommy you go in time out!Come, sit here, now stay!” Then, he breaks out in a laugh. I guess he knows that he really can’t put us in “time out” he just likes saying it ;)

Another new thing he’s been doing that isn’t quiet so funny is throwing huge fits when it’s bath time. Some days he gives me no grief at all. He climbs right in the tub no problem. Other days, he is a total brat about it, LOL! And yes, I just called my sweet baby boy a brat! But, I think we can all agree that toddlers and their temper tantrums can be a bit on the bratty side sometimes…ha!!

Anyway, here is my sweet boy :)

Another new thing that happened last week, we finally got Carter some Big Boy Underwear!

Even though he hasn’t gone pee-pee in the potty again, Gammy decided to get him some underwear :) I let him try them on in this picture and then when I was going to take them off, he asked me “Mommy, I wear dese in my bed"?” I thought that was so sweet! I just told him that he wasn’t quiet ready to wear them to bed, but one day soon he could and then he said “Okay mommy”!

And these next two pictures are just random ones I snapped during dinner. He asked me if he could eat on the couch and watch Wonder Pets, one of his new favorite shows. By the way, he knows almost all the lyrics to the song now. I will get it on video and up here asap.

Mima & Pap’s House

Just about every other day, Carter asks me if we can go to Mima’s house. Usually we are too busy to visit through the week, but we try and make it by at least one day on the weekends to hang out. Carter LOVES going to my parents house. The house is always full of people and there is almost always other children over playing. Its just a fun atmosphere for him. A place where he can burn off all that energy he’s got ;)

These pictures are from last Sunday. We went again today and spent a few hours hanging out, but I didn’t get any pictures. It was a rainy day and we just played inside. Plus, I forgot all about these pictures from the last time, so I figured I’d post them now!

Uncle Mikey…He plays football and thought it would be cool to get his team’s logo shaved in his hair!! Crazy kid,lol!

Gilbert Run

 

Oops! Here are some pictures from Friday night that I forgot to post :)

Carter loves playing with the hose and helping me water plants.

And the driveway, hehe! He loves watering the drive way and splashing in the puddles!!  I guess drive ways need love too ;)

 

Ahhh, Gilbert Run…what a beautiful park! It was like a breath of fresh air. I haven’t been there since my senior picnic in high school, but it still looks the same. Just as pretty as the last time I visited :)

Oh, and did I mention Carter loved it too? So much so, that he cried when we left! I promised him we’d go back and we will.…… :)

      

Funny Story:  We met a killer goose that day! He almost attacked CJ at one point! CJ sort of provoked him, but none the less, he was a mean sucker! Carter thought he was funny. Me, not so much! I was actually a little frightened of this monstrous goose,ha! I’m sorry, I know that sounds silly, but he was huge and MEAN! Has any one ever seen that movie “Grumpy Old Men”? Well, that is exactly what this goose reminded me of. A grumpy old man!! We watched him chase another park visitor while we were on the playground. Carter thought it was hilarious…and well I can’t lie, I laughed too ;) BUT, God help that goose if he would have chased Carter. My Momma instincts would have taken over and that would be one sorry bird!!  Anyway, we left him alone. Next time we visit I will bring him some bread and hopefully he’ll be nice to us if we feed him, haha!!

I can also tell he is going to LOVE hiking, nature walks, etc. He had an absolute blast walking this trail. We didn’t even do a 1/3 of it because it is very hilly and long, but next time I won’t wear flip flops and we wont bring the stoller!

Well, that about wraps up our park day! After we left, we went to Lowes, then home to relax. Sunday we visited with my parents and my brothers and sisters! Pictures to come soon :)

(PS. I am posting this on Tuesday even though we went this past Saturday! I’ve been a little under the weather…. that’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ to it!)

AUGUST = LOVE

Your probably wondering where we’ve been this past week. Well, we’re still around…just been busy! I’m happy to be back though ;)

As you can tell from the title to this post, I’m pretty happy it’s August! Why? First of all, July was uncomfortably humid and hot. So far, August has been much better heat wise. My second reason, Fall is only a month and a half away now! Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, but I’m ready for Football, cool weather, sweater’s, Halloween, and all that good stuff! I know some of you can agree with me on this :)

Okay, so enough small talk! Our week was pretty uneventful. However, I still have some cute pictures to share…

“I Pee’d”

 

Yes, you heard right! This morning while getting ready to head out for the day, Carter pee pee’d on the potty for the second time ever! I was so anxious to see him do it since I heard about him going at daycare earlier in the week and I finally got my wish :)

We were in the bathroom brushing our teeth when he said “Mommy I have to pee on the potty!” So I sat him down, not expecting for him to really go… and he actually did!

I am so proud of you little buddy :) Keep up the good work!
