Playground Fun

Okay, I tried to post this last night, but my computer froze and kicked me off right in the middle of it! Grrr. I HATE when that happens!

Yesterday after work we decided to go to Laurel Springs playground since it was such a nice day! They have a giant jungle gym and I knew he would love it!!! Well,  Carter had so much fun he did NOT want to leave ;) There was some crying, kicking & screaming involved when we did leave, but he got over it…eventually!! Then we went to Twin Kiss and ate. It was so yummy. Let me just say that my kid drank almost half of the large chocolate shake. Anyone who’s been there before knows how huge these things are so I was shocked when I noticed how much he drank! HA!! They are delicious though so I don’t blame him one bit. I totally forgot all about Swann Points playground which is way closer to our house than La Plata so we’ll definetly be making trips over there alot more too!!!

Today it was nasty and rainy so we just stayed inside and played! One funny story though: Carter was playing in his tent and Granny must’ve said “where’s your mother?” or something because next thing I know Carter’s yelling “Mudder..Mudder?!” haha! It was so adorable. Okay, that’s about it for today!! Tomorrow we’re half way to the weekend…Hope everyone has a good one.

Our Weekend!!

This weekend was spent outdoors, for the most part! It was a little cooler than what we’ve had the last week, but it was still SO beautiful out! Friday evening we relaxed at home. That’s how we usually spend our Friday nights these days :) which is fine with me!!

Saturday we got up early and headed to Laurel Springs Park for CJ’s Spring Softball Tournament. First, Carter and I went to my parents for a little while to visit. Then around 12, we headed up to the field. Tara & Kaiden were already there and Carter couldn’t wait to get out and play!  I didn’t get any good pictures of the boys together, Carter was all over the place! But, here are some pictures of Carter playing…..He is such a good little model ;)

I don’t have any pictures from Sunday, but we spent the major part of the day running errands. We stopped by Babies R Us and got Carter some new clothes for spring! I also got some pictures printed that I’ve been wanting done and then we hit the Giant for some stuff. Tomorrow is Monday and its back to work & daycare! I wish the weekends lasted a little bit longer, but hopefully this week will fly by and we’ll have another nice weekend outside!! I love spring ;)

Finally Better!!

So, its been a busy week around here…as I’m sure you can tell by my lack of blogging! I just made up for it tonight though, so please scroll down to see my updates & pictures. I “back-logged” instead of doing one HUGE post and that way they are dated "on time" too, I hate being late but sometimes its inevitable.

Carter couldn’t go back to daycare until Wednesday because of his fever. The Dr. said 24 hours with no fever before he could go back. Granny came home early Monday so that I could go in for a half day and Tuesday I took him to my mom’s for the day. Finally Tuesday morning the fever broke, so Wednesday he was clear to go back :) He was excited because he said he missed his friends & teacher’s when we asked him (He’s so funny)! They said he had a fabulous 1st day back & he’s been getting better everyday since. I’m so relieved. I hate when he’s sick, not only do I feel AWFUL for him, but it wears you out too. You momma’s know what I’m talking about!

Today after work, Carter & I went to Target to get a few things. Usually I put him in a cart right away, but this time I let him walk into the store holding my hand (BIG MISTAKE!). He rides in the cart fine, but once I gave him that freedom of walking all over, he did not want to listen to me. It was a little difficult going at it alone, but we got it done and had some fun running around the place ;) Haha, running through the clothes & make-up isle’s. Little moments like that just make my day! Now he is sound asleep and I’m gonna go relax before I go to bed. But before I got, let me leave you with some pictures of my “Better” baby boy…

Tomorrow is Friday :) YIPPPEEE…can ya tell I’m excited?! I cannot wait for this beautiful weather and a nice relaxing weekend!

Easter Sunday, Part II

Here is Part Two of our Easter day!! Since Carter still had a fever, Daddy offered to stay home with him so that I could meet my family at church. I knew that since Carter was still running a fever and contagious, it would not be a good idea to bring him around my brothers & sisters. So, this way I still got to see them, even if just for a little bit :)

They go to New Life Church and for the Easter Sunday service, it was held in La Plata High School’s auditorium! Let me just say that this place was PACKED full of people! They even had to bring in extra chairs!!! I also really liked the way the preacher (Mike) spoke. I hope I can go with them more often. Here are some pictures after service was over….

After church, I headed back home to take care of my sick baby and enjoy the rest of our day!!! Shortly after I got home from church, so did this guy and boy was Carter happy to see him :)
