A Virus?

What a busy week! I never posted this, but Monday I took Carter back to the Dr. to get checked out because he was coughing ALOT Sunday night!! I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t Bronchitis or something. So, the doctor checked him out & everything was fine, except his left ear! She couldn’t see the tube and it looked red and had some fluid in it. I thought, “Ohhh geeez, not this again…already?!” But she said even though it shouldn’t have happened this fast, tubes can fall out! He has a follow up with the ENT Tuesday March 2nd so she prescribed Carter Azythromicin  and told me to tell the ENT when we go. Anyway, aside from all that stress of the tube, last night he gets a fever of 102.7!! I never thought you could get sick while on an antibiotic, but I guess you can! I’m calling the Dr. as soon as they open because as luck would have it, Daycare announced yesterday afternoon that a child IN CARTERS class was diagnosed with Hand Foot & Mouth (Aka. Hoof & Mouth) Disease. Its a virus that causes fever, sores in the mouth & a rash on the palms of the hands, feet, & butt. It has to run its course, but I just want the Dr. to be aware of what’s going on! I hope that’s not what he caught, but there’s a good chance. That’s the price you pay for sending your child to daycare I guess. I’ll update more later once I talk to the Dr.

A Visit from Michele

 

Wednesday night Michele, her new puppy, Uncle Mike, Mikey, & Pop-pop came down to visit. Carter loved Michele’s puppy, who’s name is Zocho! He’s only 3 months old and light as a feather. It was good catching up with Michele :) She doesn’t get to come down very often so her visits are always nice!!! Unfortunately I didn’t get a group shot of us, but I did get some cute pictures of Carter playing! Here ya go….

I was going to post on Weds. but it was late by the time everyone left! Then Last night, Carter got a fever! Yep, out of no-where! I’ll have another post to update shortly!!!

21 Months Old!!!

Carter your finally legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha! Well, not really, but this is the last time you will be 21 until your ‘real’ 21st in ohhhh… ummm ….20 years! sheeesh! That day can take its sweet, sweet time in coming. Seems far away, but I know one day I’ll look back & it will feel like the blink of an eye!

These days Carter is remembering things he sees or hears alot better!! He can remember more words to songs now (kids sing-alongs!) and numbers/letters/days of the week. Daycare has been practicing the “Days of the week” with the children and now Carter can say all the days Monday thru Sunday! He can count to 3 and say  A B C D. This month he has also started to make up little lies! lol! For example, he will tell me “Knee hurts!” or “I bumpt chin!” “Hurt neck!”, “Bumpt head!”…. Then I’ll say “Ohh no, are you okay?” & he’ll say (Mind you this is in a sad/pitiful tone haha!) “ughh, it hurts!” Then I’ll say “What happened?” mostly he’ll just say “huh?” a million times after that because I guess he can’t think of anything to say, but its hilarious!

Also, I noticed this month Carter figured out how to use a box or a toy as a step stool to climb on stuff! He has almost fell more than once doing this & scared me half to death!! I guess he is just gonna keep getting more and more mischievous as he gets older! He is CJ’s kid so I kinda have to prepare myself for the worst, ha!

Some of his favorite things this month are: Blanket & Binki (Still, I know, but at night mostly!), Barney, Pizza, Hotdogs, Tractors, Chocolate milk, Cheese puffs, & just being around everyone he loves :)

Carter is still only around 24/25 pounds. He wears a size 6 shoe, but its quickly growing out of them!! We tried to get his hair cut this past weekend, but it didn’t go very well! We’re going to try again this week sometime because his hair is SO long now!! Hopefully he cooperates this time! He still only has 12 teeth that I’ve seen and he’s still in 18 to 24 month clothes and size 3/4 diapers!

Blogger V-Day Party!

So Last night Live Writer kept kicking me off right in the middle of this post! After the 3rd try, I got frustrated and gave up. At least its working now, shesh!

Anyway, we finally had our v-day party after it being postponed due to all the snow!! It was a lot of fun catching up with the mommies, playing with the kids, and eating good food! Thanks Jen for having us :) Now onto the good stuff…the pictures!!!

A funny story…

The other day we were sitting at home relaxing, Carter was watching Barney & I was watching the E News channel. Well, as I frequently looked over at him to make sure he wasn’t jumping on the couch or trying to slip away & get into trouble lol, I notice his head bobbling up and down! So, I slowly walk over and this is what I find:

He passed out watching Barney!! Right after I walked over and realized he was passed out, he tried to roll over and fell right off the couch! Luckily, we have soft carpet and he didn’t fall very hard. Our couch isn’t that high! But, even with the fall, he stayed asleep! I just picked him up and laid him back on the couch :) I put some pillows on the ground after that, just incase he did that again, but he slept for a whole hour like that. I actually woke him up, which I hate to do, but it was 5:30pm and I didn’t want him to sleep too long and ruin his night-time routine. He wasn’t very happy with me at first, but he got over it…see…

      

Also this week we’ve been really practicing everyone’s names so that when we go to the V-day party this Saturday Carter can say them good and clear! He definitely has Ryder, Bailey, & Owen down pact. Mikayla is a little harder for him, ha! It sounds more like complete jibberish, but we’ll get there eventually!!! We are so excited to see everyone again, I know its gonna be a great time!

Oh..PS…Carter is getting a haircut this Saturday! That’s right, you heard me! Actually we’re both getting it done, mommy is getting it colored (Finally!) & Carter is getting his 2nd of all time haircut!!! I’m really nervous about cutting it, but I think its time. It’s just too long now!! Plus, a good friend told me, “its just hair, it will grow back!!” Which is so true :) I just hope it all goes well & no tears..Wish us luck!!!!!
