The last day of March

 

Today was just a regular old work day, however, it was 75 degrees!! This is very exciting news because we’ve had chilly (50 degrees!) weather for the last few days! I hate it when the temps flip-flop like that, but I guess that’s Spring for ya!!

After we all got home from work & daycare, we went outside to play some ball ;) Carter LOVES baseball, just like his daddy when he was little! Watching him swing that bat, I really think that he is left-handed. I’m still not 100% sure yet because he does switch hands often while he’s eating, drinking, drawing, etc. But, when it comes to baseball, he uses his left to swing! I guess we’ll know for sure soon enough, or maybe he’ll be ambidextrous?!

Lets see, what else has been going on this week? Oh, Carter has been saying “I broke it” or “I lost it” ALOT this week. He also learned how to say “Motorcycle” and “I big boy”!! He is speaking in 3 word sentences for the most part and his words are becoming easier to understand. He STILL hasn’t gotten those new teeth in yet, but hopefully they poke through soon and give him some relief. Easter is this Sunday & I was gonna go to Target today after work, but my Dr. appointment ran a little late, so we will just have to go tomorrow! I need to get Carter some goodies for his basket :) I love holidays!!!! okay, now onto the pictures :

Easter Egg Hunt

Man, this morning started off a little earlier than I would’ve liked. Five-am to be exact!!!! Thankfully, Denise offered to watch Carter while I went back to bed for a couple hours! I was so relieved and thankful she offered because I was TIRED!! I would’ve got CJ up but Denise offered before I had a chance to wake him, haha!!

I really thought Carter was going to sleep in this morning because he went to bed a little later than usual last night. We went to visit our very good friends The Bagley’s after I got off work so our night-time routine was thrown off a bit. But nope, he woke up bright and early….or should I say dark and early since the moon was still out? LOL! Like I said, I’m glad Granny was there to help out, mommy needed it!!!

Last night I also got kinda stressed out because after we got home from our visit, he threw up out of nowhere!! He seemed happy and playful the whole time we were out, but he didn’t have much of an appetite and I did think that was a little odd. He is a picky eater, but not that picky!!! Well, after I finally got him to eat some of a hotdog, he threw up BIG time. It was a lot and the poor little guy was crying because it scared him :( But the good news is, he didn’t get sick anymore after that! Hallelujah!!!!!! I really thought after he threw up that I would be up all night with a sick child! So even though it was crazy early when he woke me up this morning, I was so relieved to know he made it all night without getting sick. I guess whatever it was got out of his system quick.

We left for the Easter Egg Hunt around 11 am and Carter had a blast playing with Taylor and Kenzie ;) Taylor made him a sweet little cross necklace and picture, both are adorable. She was such a  “Mommy” taking him to play and keeping her eye on him the entire time, such a sweetie!!! Carter only got one egg in his hunt, but I don’t think he cared too much, haha!!!

Today we went outside to play, one of Carter’s favorite things to do :) This week has been a hectic one to say the least. I don’t even know if hectic is the right word, but that’s why I haven’t posted anything since Sunday. Carter’s been good this week, being his normal spunky self!! He did get in trouble at daycare for slapping another child who took his toy though! They talked to him about it and I even think they put him in “Time-out” for a minute. I’m sure he didn’t sit still for very long, haha, he’s just not that into listening yet!!! Also this week he’s been saying “Hey mommy” alot when he wants my attention. He does it to daddy too! Its funny :) Anyway, here are some pictures of our fun afternoon.

22 Months Old!!

And two months to go until your 2nd birthday!!! My goodness, my baby is gonna be 2!!!! T W O!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

At 22 months old, Carter is almost 25 pounds. He is in mostly 24 months clothes now. Size 6 shoe :)

He looks more & more like his daddy everyday, especially with those bright baby blues! His personality is ALOT like CJ’s too! I can tell I’m gonna have my hands full that’s for sure!! Haha!

He is talking so much more lately too! Everyday I get a report from the daycare about his day and everyday “Chatty” is circled on the piece of paper ;) In May he will be moving into the “Toddler” Room with the bigger kids and even though I’m a little nervous about it, I know he’ll do great!

Lets see, what else!!! He is teething right now, still :/ I checked today and the two top canine’s are RIGHT there, about to pop through any minute!! Let’s hope they do soon because he has just been Mr. Cranky pants because of it.

I think that’s about it!!! There haven’t been any major changes this month besides the talking and I know he’s gained some weight. We are just really looking forward to his birthday coming up and this nice warm weather!!!! ahhh, its been great :) Oh and by the way, today was the first official day of spring!!!!!!!!! YAY! I love spring!

Ryder’s 1sr Birthday Party!!

Today we celebrated Ryder’s 1st birthday! I still cannot believe its already been a WHOLE year since he was born! Man, time sure does fly these days. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and just perfect for a party! The decorations were adorable and the food was delicious, as always. I’m sure Ryder was loving all that attention on him too;)  I swear he is such a good boy!! Happy birthday little buddy!!!
